The Neurofacility (NEFA) supports life science research. The facility includes fully equipped laboratories for sample preparation and analyses in life science. They are devoted to: chemistry, biochemistry, electrophisiology service, radiochemistry, cell cultures, bacterial cultures, molecular biology, genetically modified viral vectors preparation and manipulation, as well as washing, sterilization and deep freezing stock. Highly specialized technicians manages specific laboratories including:
- Imaging Lab bequipped with 2 upright confocal microscopies (Leica SP5 and Nikon A1) and 1 inverted confocal microscocpe (Leica SP5)
- FACS and Cell sorting Lab provides a service of Fluorescence-Activated Cell Sorting (FACS) analyses through a BD FACSAria II equipped with four different lasers to cover all wavelengths
- Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) Lab equipped with Illumina HI SEq1500
- A small electronic and hardware Lab to design, develop, modify life science tools
